At MentorMinds Academy for New Educators, teachers develop skills to lead personalized, student-centered classrooms. Our comprehensive program provides mentoring and professional development focused on crucial topics like small group instruction, differentiation, classroom management, and using data to drive instruction.

Teachers learn effective small group strategies to provide targeted instruction that meets diverse learner needs. They gain skills to create student-centered environments that empower learners through choice, inquiry, and active engagement. Our courses equip teachers to manage classrooms by establishing routines, expectations and positive relationships with students.

We also provide training on flipped classroom approaches, where teachers leverage technology to deliver content outside class to maximize in-person time for discussion, projects and practice. Teachers learn to utilize assessment data to identify student needs, adjust instruction, and track growth over time.

With ongoing mentorship and a collaborative network, teachers gain confidence and expertise to lead progressive, student-centered classrooms. Join our academy to be fully prepared to make an impact from your first year of teaching.

Hi, I’m LaQuita Larkin

CEO and founder of MentorMinds Consulting LLC. I specialize in guiding school districts, and educators to achieving effective data-driven small group instruction. Although I work with educators of all levels, I have a special place in my heart reserved for first year teachers.

I know how hard the first year in the classroom can be, so I decided to create a safe learning environment just for first year teachers. Many times first year teachers get looked over, tossed to the side, or already expected to know everything. At MentorMinds Academy for New Educators, we will learn, grow, cry, and laugh together.
